The Human Pin Cushion
Quote de jour.
"There cannot be a stressful crisis next week. My schedule is already full."
~Henry Kissinger
You don't have to be a Wall Street banker to be stressed these days. Wall Street has collided with Main Street and it's a bloody mess. I'm usually a 'glass half full and not half empty' kind of person but not today. The glass isn't half empty. It's empty and it's going to be a long time before it gets full again.
In the middle of reading the paper this morning, I flung it aside in disgust. Every article of every page screamed negativity. I know bad news sells newspapers but enough already. Okay, we get it. The sky is falling but it's important not to allow fear to reign.
What do I do for stress besides, nail biting, meditation and yoga? I willingly allow someone to stick needles in me until I resemble a human pin cushion. That someone is a doctor of acupuncture and it doesn't hurt. It looks more weird than it feels and I always feel better after. Really.
