Stamp Out Fear (& ignorance while you're at it)

Quote de jour
"In politics, what begins in fear usually ends in folly."

~Coleridge
I wrote a rant about last night's pseudo debate but tech glitches ate my baby. Just as well, I don't want to dwell in fear. I have two words about Sarah Palin's performance: Manchurian Candidate.
On a lighter note, here's my favorite pic taken last week from the Democracy in America: The National Campaign sponsored by http://www.creativetime.org held at the architecturally stunning Armory in NYC. This multi-media, interactive exhibit has been traveling across the country gleaning from artists and activists, the state of democracy with wit, humor and profound insight.

Here I am trying to stamp out fear

Looking more and more like Obama. Yes, she seemed the Manchurian Candidate.

Good picture. It's probably as effective as any other way to stamp out fear. I was impressed by the debate, too. I knew very little about Joe Biden, but now I like him. He and Sarah Palin debated with grace, respect and professionalism. It was wonderful to finally see some gracious, civilized speaking without anger or smirking.
I'd be hard put to declare a winner. I wish they were running together. I like both of them better than their bosses.
