Cat Saturday # 5 -- (It's my party and I'll meow if I want to.)
Quote de jour
"Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will piss on your computer."

My Siamese cats, Merlin and Coco celebrated their 14th birthday on Oct. 2nd. I use the word 'celebrated' loosely. I has visions of party hats and catnip for all but it didn't go as planned. I should have known better. This is what happened at their last party.

Merlin, wearing a party hat for the first and last time.
I thought it might be fun to invite Domino, the feral cat who lives on our porch. He's half Siamese and growing more tolerate towards Merlin and Coco, or so I thought.

It was down hill from there. In my attempt to ward off a kitty World War 3, I got no good shots from the party.

After Domino chowed down, he left the party and fled into the bushes and Coco and Merlin followed. Everyone finally posed for me in the garden, but and on their terms. I hope they all get their birthday wishes. Somehow, I don't think candles and birthday hats are on the list.

Merlin and Coco insisted on being chosen CAT OF THE WEEK. It's the least I could do for ruining their birthday. I think they might enjoy hearing from you too. And if you have a cat you wants to be CAT OF THE WEEK, send me a photo to layla@laylamorganwilde.com

Can't we all just live together...

Layla, such a perfect rendition of what it is like for cats. Why don't you also post this on Gather and go through Gather Broadcasting? People will just loooove it. Such a perfect end to a couple of weeks of political and economic mess.

Great shots of 'the kids'. I never really noticed just what a big boy Mr. D. is (and somewhat of a bully too).
That Coleridge quote from elsewhere on this page was interesting. Is that the same dope addict that wrote the bit about Xanadu that prefaces Orson Welles' magnum opus?
Manchurian Candidate! I get more an more depressed and despairing every time I see some troglodyte on Gather talk about that wacko b*tch like she is the answer to their prayers. I have to wonder which of Lucifer's minions these dumbf*cks are praying to.
OXOXOX-- Mugg
LOL, Mugg, on all accounts. Yes, that Domino is growing large. I'm trying to fatten him up for along, cold winter outdoors.

Your cats are darling still. I will be returning to Gather soon. Kitty has been with us a year now and Whiskers is still queen to you. LOL.
