Day of Atonement

Quote de jour
Forgive me for this little humor on this, the most serious of Jewish holidays.

Rabbi to parishioner: "Yes, I know they call McDonald's 'fast' food but you STILL can't eat it on Yom Kippur!"

Yom Kippur, the culmination of the Jewish high holy days,  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yom Kippur
is the Day of Atonement. It is time to seek and give forgiveness. While it is the most sacred of Jewish holidays, I believe you don't have to be Jewish to seek some atonement of your own. The world needs more forgiveness, just as we need more love, and we can't have one without the other. I'd suggest we begin the act of forgiveness with ourselves.

Peace
