Cat Saturday # 7 -- Kitty Masquerade
Quote de jour
Well, actually a joke...a bad one. Please don't scratch me.
Q: What award can a dramatic feline hope to win?
A: An A-Cat-demy Award.
Every Saturday is all about cats on this blog and I'm especially delighted to award the weekly CAT OF THE WEEK to Beau from Wisconsin. He has Cattitude to spare and he might make you call him by his formal name, Beauregard. This gentleman of leisure is a rising star at Gather.com, where his mom, Patricia S. chronicles his antics daily. His brother Rocky often gets into the limelight too, albeit reluctantly.

It's beginning to look a lot like...Halloween. Yes, the pumpkin season is upon us. My kitty, Merlin is nonplussed.
He has bigger fish to fry (no pun intended) like napping, stalking the new feral cat (a gray-striped bruiser) and napping with Coco, his sister and partner in crime.

Meanwhile our porch feral Domino, has fattened up nicely for the long winter ahead. Will he want to come in for the winter? Will Merlin and Coco let him? Stay tuned...
The purpose of Cat Saturdays (Cat Sat) is to provide some amusement, in less than amusing economic times. Today, I can't stay silent. Never mind the bulls or bears of Wall Street. What about our cats and dogs? Our furry friends are the silent and innocent casualties of the economic downturn. Shelters are bursting at the seams with pets and heartbreaking stories of people who can't afford veterinary care, never mind the food to feed them any more. If you can do something, do it. Feed some neighborhood ferals, donate time or money. Maybe you have some old sweaters or blankets to donate. Foster homes are urgently needed everywhere. Your neighborhood has a local shelter or small rescue group. If you're not sure where to turn locally, go to www.petfinders.com or The Humane Society www.hsus.org

I recognize that photo!! I pointed out that those were "Dame Edna" glasses rather than James Bond's and Beau's human mommy told me she went and researched Dame Edna and thought she (he?) was HILARIOUS!
I have to agree...

That's my little man, Beau! And he sure is a secret agent cat!
Layla, did you sneak up on Merlin and put that pumpkin by him when he was napping? So cute!
A new feral cat? Uh-oh! I hope the new kitty isn't going to upset Coco, Merlin or Domino!
Thank you for choosing Beauregard as cat of the week. He's a very special kitty!
