Snow Surprise
Quote de jour
"Few things are as democratic as a snowstorm."
~Bern Williams
So I'm sitting at the computer half asleep, drinking coffee and mulling over possible blog topics. We're in the thick of the holiday season and I'm determined not to get sucked into the fray. So far, I've kept a low profile. No dancing on tables at parties. One brief shopping excursion yesterday. I thought I'd blog about a local wine tasting of bubbly but then, I looked out the window...
This is one of the views from my desk, two hours ago. This is from my kitchen a few minutes ago. I stared, mesmerized at the falling snow. The thickness of this cozy blanket of snow increased minute by minute. The weatherman said, "Stay home." Sure, I'm no fool.

It's a perfect day to catch up on reading in bed, before I begin baking a gazillion batches of cookies. But then in the distance saw flashing lights. The driver was okay but this was too close to home, and too close for comfort. If you are in an storm area, please drive extra carefully or stay home.

Oh my God Layla that looks horrible!!
...Well, as I say it - the snow itself looks mesmerizing, but we are reminded yet again not to go up against nature.
It looks ideal of a log fire, warm blanket, hot water bottle and lovely freshed baked delectable delights...I'm still waiting on your cupcake pictures

I love snow but not to drive in it. Our view is similar. Just spent a wonderful hour shoveling....

Wow Layla, I'm glad no one was hurt and glad you listened to your inner guidance on this one and didn't go out. Be careful. Read and bake cookies.
