Giant Icicles:Growing, Growing, Gone

Every year, a few icicles form on the porch, but this year we had icicles on steroids. Every morning over the past couple weeks, I'd marvel at their magical growth over night. They kept growing and growing, reaching lengths over a yard long. I knew it couldn't continue forever but nothing prepared me for the shock of not seeing them this morning. Every single one had disappeared. If it wasn't for one lone icicle lounging in the bushes and my photographic evidence, I might have thought they were conjured by my imagination. Then again, everything is a dream, an illusion isn't it?

Wow - those are mesmerizing, enchanting...yet I can only imagine dangerous too! Wouldnt want to be arriving there on as the weather warms

What wonderful pictures. Like water crystals, the sun hits them and there is where the magic begins. Here you have one of the moon on them which is equally magical. How wonderful.
