Love is in the air...in unexpected places.
Quote de jour

Love week continues... so much love, so little time. It's easy to think of love between lovers, friends, spouses, siblings,parent/child, pets and so on. Today, I'm celebrating love of an unexpected kind; the love towards someone you don't know, who brightens your day. Look around you. They're everywhere. I spotted the banner pictured above in front of a house next door to the library in Dobbs Ferry N.Y. It's an odd house with the front door literally on the sidewalk. I have no idea who lives there, but they go out of their way to decorate the entrance with seasonal flowers, cutesy signs and banners for every holiday imaginable. It's like a living Hallmark card. It's not how I would choose to decorate, but I love it. I love their desire to brighten their home, their street, their community. It makes me smile every time I pass by. Remember those anonymous Valentines in grade school? This is my not so anonymous Valentine for those people I've never met, but have touched my heart. I can't wait for their next display. St. Patrick's day anyone?
