Love is Divine and Divine Love is...

Quote de jour
Our quote today is a poem by Rumi, the thirteenth century Sufi mystic and poet. He is famous for his love poems which blur the lines between human and Divine love. If you're worried about what to buy someone for V day, or depressed about not having a special someone; relax, love is all there is, but it's ultimately about Divine love and you can't put a price on that.

I'd love to hear your opinion about this poem. Is it about human love for you, or divine love?

It is a gorgeous painting, or photo, and an exquisite poem. I don't know a lot about Rumi, the Sufi poet, but it is lovely.

I don't believe in the Divine.

I made this multi-exposure image from a painting and a photograph of a rose from my garden.

Layla, the image is so beautiful! I really must learn from you how to get such amazing results!
Rumi's poems are mostly about the Divine. The Sufi way talks in a manner that can seem personal, or alluding to romantic love but it is actually a way of addressing the Soul Divine....addressing the thirst to become ONE with that great Spirit.
