There is a tiny piece of Paris in Hastings-on Hudson N.Y. called Antoinette's. It's a charming, family run patisserie and cafe which serves up the best coffee, cake and other treats this side of Atlantic. I go there to fuel up before a hike on the nearby trail. A few days ago, I ordered a latte as usual, but what was this strange new cup? I held the new insulated, double-wall feather-light glass cup in both my hands. It felt warm but not too hot and the contents stayed hot to the last drop. A simple luxury fit for a queen. Now, where's my cake?
