Flying South

Quote de jour

This was the money shot of the day.  The sun attempting the burn through cloud cover with three birds flying in perfect alignment. The Nietzsche quote added an exclamation point.  My work is done. Yeah right.  Artists are always observing. Always courting the muse. Writers eavesdrop on conversations, painters turn spaces upside down, photographers eye everything, from every angle. The eye is the first camera, the first paintbrush, the first pen.  As an artist who works in multiple mediums, it never stops, even when I close my eyes. I frame scenes even in my dreams. Everything influences everything in a daisy chain of flow.

This is my first time blogging remotely. I am on holiday and will probably won't post again for a few days. There is sand between my toes. The humidity has poofed up my hair into a Medusa nest but who cares? I'm having a late breakfast of freshly picked fruit salad and the feel of fingers on a keyboard feels foreign and unappealing. I have not read a newspaper or watched the news and you know what? This news junkie doesn't miss it.

Beautiful, stunning photo. And spot on quote. Let your hair poof. Mine poofs every day of the year. Let there be poof. We are creatures of nature.

    Enjoy your vacay.
