Earth Week Laughs in Flowers

Quote de jour

Okay, so my cherry blossom obsession is on hold. I did bake a cherry clafouti though but enough already, it's all about magnolias now. This one is in my garden. Most of the others are from Harts Brook Park in Hartsdale N.Y. So many photos, so little time: I thought it quicker to make a collage. The print quality suffers but oh well...maybe if you scratch the screen you'll smell their creamy orchid-like scent.
It's Earth Week. Is green really the new black? One thing I'm proud of is remembering to bring my stack of reusable bags to the grocery store. I began doing it about two years ago, but most of the time would forget them at home. It took awhile but now it's second nature. It helps to return them immediately to the car after unpacking. It's just one small thing but it adds up.

I love Earth week but it makes me sad to know we are not taking care of Her well enough.

    Such beautiful flowers and trees.

Our leaves still have not completely popped. Maybe tonight. I keep saying that every day. But I think tonight is the night.

These are just the most GORGEOUS pictures!!
It's interesting to see how much more advanced Spring is where you are. There are no trees out in leaf or bloom yet, except for some forsythia.
