Mandala Mondays --The Luckiest Day Of The Year

Quote de jour

I believe in luck, but I also believe in rolling up my sleeves. I must have been a Hindu in another life. The holidays and rituals are familiar and resonate with me. Today is Akshaya Tritiya, considered the luckiest day of the year and the most auspicious time for new beginnings. Akshaya Tritiya falls on the third day of the bright half of Vaishakh month, when the Sun and Moon are in exaltation; they are simultaneously at their peak of brightness, which happens only once every year. This year Akshaya Tritiya falls on April 27.
May success smile on you today.

This week's mandala is fiery. Fire, my favorite element, is intrinsically creative. The burst of energy required to turn everything green and blooming is mind blowing. Think about it.

When I made this mandala, I was exploring planetary energy and the interconnectedness of forms both loose and formal.
Regardless of your spiritual beliefs, peace & love is a one-size-fits-all philosophy that is my intent for all beings today. I made these little signs on pieces of slate, one each for planter flanking my front entrance. With everyone under so much stress these days, these remind me of what really matters, every time I come home.

Sorry, sometimes weird techno glitches do happen. Try to leave another comment but keep in mind it takes a while before they appear.
