The Boomer Muse is One Year Old!
Quote de jour
I have nothing to say except...

On August 30th of last year I launched the Boomer Muse. I knew nothing about blogging. If you search the archives for those first few entries, they didn't even have tags. SEO? Search engine optimization, what was that? I read how hard it was to blog every day and how 7 out of 10 bloggers give up after three months. I brushed off the dire predictions with beginner's courage or foolishness. Now I know better. Blogging every day is hard. It's not for the faint of heart and if I had to start from scratch again, I'd question my sanity. That said, I have no regrets. My readership has grown like flowers, slowly blossoming like the beauty (above) I captured after the rain the other day. In many ways, I feel I've only just begun and look forward to the next year. Thank-you for visiting and extra thanks to those who take the time to comment. I am always open to suggestions.
#1 Blogging tip
What's the most important blogging tip I've learned? Consistency. Blog as often and regularly as you promise. Blog about consistent themes. For me, this blog has become about inspiring photo quotes de jour. We live in unpredictable and difficult times. I'd like to offer a place where for a few moments you can escape to a place of beauty and comfort. The things I post reflect my life and those close to me. They are a photo-diary that deal with universal themes and just might resonate with your life.
My usual Sunday post: What I'm reading This Week will return next Sunday.

Congratulations, Layla.
Like you say, blogging every day isn't easy. To cull quotes, snippets, art, books and such from your own daily life day after day cannot be an easy task.
I love your quotes and the pictures.
Do push on. Another year....and another..and..
