Mandala Mondays -- Pumpkin Power
Quote de jour
"Mandalas are are circular symbols for healing and meditation. Nature provides mandalas in many inspiring forms, from spider webs, sea shells, pine cones to fruits and vegetables."
~LMW
Unless you've been living under a rock, it's hard not to notice the pumpkins; they're everywhere. To kick off Halloween week, here's the inspiration behind this week's mandala.

This mandala is less geometric and more decorative to reflect the festive season.

What medium is the mandala? It would be pretty as a ceramic dish.

I usually draw the mandalas with colored crayons (Prismacolor) on black paper.

I love pumpkins and this mandala. Really pretty. And I agree that it would be lovely as a dish.
You could make an entire line of porcelain dishes based on your mandalas.
My daughter once remarked that I don't like symmetry. I told her spot on. I only like border prints in clothes, and prefer horizontal cuts, and fairly asymmetrical patterns to geometric ones.
