Purrs, dear reader. It's Merlin here, the muse and #1 kitty of Layla. She's gone to the Cat Show. I can't imagine why she'd want to see other cats when she has moi. Who wants to see freakishly stunning and perfectly groomed cats? But the fur may be flying, so it might be fun. In my younger days, I could have been a contender, a real champion but I got all jelly bellied when I lost my family jewels. Not bad for an old man, eh? Look at my unique tail, will ya?
http://www.Westchester-feline.org The Westchester Cat Show, produced by the Westchester Feline Club, returns to the Westchester County Center in White Plains N.Y. The event generally features more than 225 feline entries in a wide variety of breeds for competition. Don't they know I'd win paws down? There will also be a large number of kittens and cats available for sale or adoption, and for you crazy cat lovers, vendors featuring cat-inspired clothing, jewelry and home décor. If Layla returns with a kitty Santa hat, I swear I'll run away from home and join Domino outside. Listen up folks, cat do not like wearing costumes.
This year, the Cat Writers Association will hold its annual convention in conjunction with the cat show at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. Smart, those cat writers...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch,er, farmhouse my ersatz pal Domino has been seen chowing down to bulk up for a winter outdoors. I might let him inside, but don't hold your breath. Layla just bought him an electric heating pad.
