Need A New Direction?
Quote de jour

So, yesterday I'm stopped at a traffic light waiting. I don't mind waiting. It gives me time to take a sip of water, focus on my breathing, change the music. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a moving mass of black. A flock of birds made a great sky circle. They would converge into a swooping circle, scatter to the wind in all directions and then form a feathery black "O" again and again: order out of chaos. Their dance mesmerized. The beeping, bleeping drivers behind me disagreed. I would have liked to have captured the black circle but blaring horns moved me forward. We are all moving in different directions. The question is knowing when to change direction in order to move ahead and when to wait for sign.

You are a very astute philosopher. What were the birds? Crows? Grackles?
