My (four-legged) old man, Merlin is a fount of wisdom. Last week, I caught him worshiping the sun sitting as regal and wise at the Egyptian cat goddess Bastet. He played muse to perfection by giving me a new idea: Kitty Wisdom 101, a new feature at Cat Saturday and maybe a line of greeting cards or a book?

The Boomer Muse blog will be undergoing some changes, a re-branding to streamline our core message of inspiration meets joy.  Cat Saturday has shifted from featuring a 'cat of the week' to a 'cat of the month'. Further changes are in the works to improve Cat Saturday. I welcome suggestions of your favorite parts. What's a must have and what's a take it or leave it.

Cat lovers aren't just women. There is a growing legion of cat men. These men adore cats and don't mind being owned by them. To my mind, they are a more evolved species of man. In my single days, I wouldn't dream of dating anyone who didn't love cats and of course marriage to a non-cat lover out of the question. Cat Art of the Week
I met artist Dorothy De'Matteis from Cherry Hill. N.J.at a local cat show two weeks ago and fell in love with her colorful cat art. Her whimsical felines graces original paintings, prints and printed t-shirts and sweatshirts.
