The Alchemy of Love
Photo Quote de Jour

Today's mandala was inspired by my long standing fascination with alchemy. Ancient alchemists sought to transform base metals into gold, but I'm more interested in the metaphorical aspects of alchemy.
My life work is about helping people transform. I think of it as spiritual alchemy. From anxiety to peace, from confusion to clarity, from sadness to joy; every emotion, every state mentally or physically has it's opposite state. What lies at the core of every transformation is love. If someone cannot access their inner love, their core Divine love, then transformation is difficult if not impossible. Just as I was writing, literally after the word "impossible", the phone rang. It was a client of mine struggling with issues of self-sabotage. "S" felt okay this morning, but got triggered by a co-worker and anxiety flared up. There's a short hand type of communication with intuitives like me. In this case, what was needed was love. This person doesn't love themselves fully, at least not yet, but I knew they could locate a small part inside to love. Sometimes, just embracing, accepting, loving a tiny part is enough. The anxiety melted, for now.
Caveat: In the future, I will be sharing more practical examples of the work I do. In referencing the person or persons in question, I will change all details of identification. They may be clients, students, friends or family members who have given permission to be written about anonymously.

You are probably a visual person. I try to communicate on all levels. Some people connect visually, others via auditory or through other senses like touch. I am mostly visual. That's why there are so many images; photos, drawings and art at the blog.
