Macy's, the venerable department store famous in the film Miracle on 34th Street is using the tag line: "Believe" in all their Holiday season advertising. But believe in what? The magic of Christmas? Racking up credit card debt to buy gifts you can't afford? Believe is a powerful word. Whatever we choose to believe in colors everything we do. The photo above is from a nearby public greenhouse with whitewashed glass. It begs to be written on. Kids leave graffiti and surprisingly little four letter or obscene words. I leave words or symbols that reflect my state of mind. The most recent word was joy. Believe was left by a client of mine who I believe will recover quite nicely.
