Seeing Stars in New York

Photo Quote de Jour

This is the view from of Grand Central Station in New York if you look up, but most people walking by are commuters pouring inside the station to catch their train. They are looking ahead, looking down, pushing through crowds, talking on cell phones oblivious to the beauty a neck stretch away. The only ones admiring the view are tourists snapping photos. This holiday season seems more frenetic than ever, but it doesn't have to be. Whatever crowd you find yourself in: Stop. Look up. Breathe. Enjoy. You just might see some stars.

It is very true that the only people who look up to the ESB are tourists. I always love its night-time beauty and its great view of the city.

And you are so right that we don't take enough time to enjoy..........

My wife and I grew up in NYC and we often muse on the fact that neither of us actually remembers ever seeing the moon or the stars. There was always some skyscraper in the way, except when we spent the night at the beach or stood on the roof of an apartment building.
