New Year, New Decade, New Dawn
Photo Quote de Jour

So, how does it feel to write 2010? I asked several people that yesterday and everyone said weird, different, dyslexic. It is different and it will take getting used to, but isn't that how big change always is? When I reached for the New York Times this morning I didn't look at the headlines, I glanced at the date: January 1, 2010. It looked futuristic and different all right, but in a good way, in the hopeful way we trust and have faith. It isn't just a new year but a new decade with a world of choices ahead for all of us. They may be small choices like which books to read or what to have for dinner. They may be big choices like where to live or go to school, who to marry or divorce. Every moment of every day we get to choose our thoughts and ultimately our actions. I choose to be kind to myself, to honor my true nature, to spread my wings and soar. What will you choose in the new year?
Thank-you for reading The Boomer Muse. Your visits, comments (public and private) and support are a joy. May your new year be as magical as you can imagine!

Happy New Year, Layla!
How does it feel to write 2010? Very strange. Redid the headers of some forms I use every day a few minutes ago and had a terrible time with the year. First, I went to change 09 to 10 and typed 09 automatically and saved. When I looked at the form, something seemed wrong, so I had to redo the headers. It's going to take getting used to as it did ten years ago when we went from 1999 to 2000.
Happy New Day to you, too!

I choose in 2010 to be a better mother, grandmother, friend, sister, cousin, niece and human being in general in bringing greater comfort to my special creatures...feral/abandoned/stray cats.

Deb, that's a very clear intention and with clarity comes manifestation.

Ah! spread your wings and soar. That is fantastic! I applaud that. I will do that, too. Now to sleep, getting daughter on the plane tomorrow (cross your fingers) and son either tomorrow or the next day. Then back to more ME time, writing, exercising, time with hubby.

Happy New Year, Layla! I suppose I'll just going on doing what I've always done: loving life, living simply, minding my business, not taking anything too seriously.
