In New York, Fashion Week is fast approaching (Feb.11- 18) http://www.mbfashionweek.com Before you scratch your head and wonder where my usual spiritual stuff is, hang on. As I get older, I'm increasingly aware of the cold. A jungle in the middle of Borneo would suit me right about now. Friends josh me and say, "But you're Canadian!" But worse, my parents were born in Finland, the land of snow and stoic souls. What's my excuse? When I think of my dad, pictured above in a bunker during the war, I shiver. He doesn't even have any gloves on, and it's probably 39 below zero. And he looks cool in a snow suit. I've often wondered where I get my fashion influences from, and now I know. Anyone can follow fashion trends, but style is being comfortable in your own skin. Thanks dad.
