Icy Hot
Photo quote de jour
It's "what goes around comes around" week. I'm exploring the circular nature of life. It snowed again last night. The powdered sugar dusting on the trees is beautiful not only for the fairyland appearance, but for it's impermanence. The coating is so light, a light wind and rise in temperature will melt it an instant. This is the view from my kitchen window.

This antique barrel is so rotted and rusty, I doubt it'll hold much water next summer, but for now it's doing a wonderful job of appearing like an ice cream cake with icing.
The brief magical dance snow on the branches won't last, except in photos and in my memory. Everything can change and does. What is cold can melt, and what is hot can freeze. Relationships can grow hot, then cool, turn cold or be re-kindled. I couldn't resist the yin/yang contrast of icy snow with the BBQ thermometer. Its fiery needle reminds me of hot summer days, grilled goodness, ice cream cones and laughter.

Yes, we here in the Northland have snow. Your photo is exceptionally beautiful. Our snow is not that beautiful, but it is not a huge amount. I do look forward to spring, but it is fun to 'faerize' Winter.

I like your word 'faerize'.

I wonder if it is actually a word. Makes the reality of snow much more faerific!

It is now. Making up adjectives is a perk of being a writer.

Awesome pictures. They all look great. I love snow. Maybe that's why, I once had almost 5 handfuls of it... lol
Have a good day!
