Cat Saturday- It's Raining Cats & Dogs!

Photo quote de jour

A Nor'Easter is blowing through town, so I guess the winds of change are here. It's Saturday, and what's a cat to do but snuggle deeper under the covers. Merlin is going out every day but Coco is becoming more and more reclusive. Her failing vision makes her more cantankerous and fearful than ever. I feel all elderly cats, like elderly humans, need stimulation though  to keep their faculties.

If I didn't carry her downstairs or outside, I doubt she'd venture from bed. Once outside, she perks up, but it's a fine balancing act of nudging her while honoring her capabilities. Here she is enjoying the sun with her little corgi legs.

Domino sunbathed in a sheltered spot this week and felt like his old self. It was even warm enough for him to go on an adventure for a few hours.  For a feral, he's gotten increasingly fussy about food and cries until he gets what he wants. What he doesn't know is a spring diet is on the menu. Rotund is his middle name.

Those are especially good photos. We like the old lady. She doesn't look bad at all. It does look like she perks up when she gets outside. And the cat in the picture, Dreaming of spring is really pretty. Have a great day.

Wishing you and your dear friends a wonderful weekend! We had four days of bright sunshine this week, so I'm not too sad to see a little rain today. Here's my latest "cat" aphorism:

"Like a cat I just do what I do."

Ah poor Coco, with her failing vision. She is still beautiful, with her Corgi legs. Emma had little legs, too a brown tabby.

Domino is pretty fussy, but adorable as ever. He warms my heart.

    And Merlin always looks regal.

We have cool weather and those 'drops. Shh. I won't say it.

    Ched and Mao say MAO!

It's so hard when our elderly cats start declining, but it looks like Coco has a big smile on her face as she's soaking up the sun. Her short little legs are so cute!

Domino, of course, looks handsome as ever. Amber made me leave the computer on overnight so she could lovingly gaze upon these photos. It cracks me up that a feral cat has become finicky about what you feed him! But surely he's not rotund - he's just fluffy!

I counted 3 cats, am I correct? Damn, those cats are really cute. You know, I sometimes wonder why humans domesticated cats and dogs. I suspect there's something mystical behind these creatures. Wahaha... ok Google, here I come...

I have a cat like Coco, his name is Pericles, failing vision, totally def, high blood pressure, and arthritis. He takes meds for all of the above. Pericles will be 17 in July, in many ways we have grown old together. He still licks the hand that has loved him and I still kiss the head I adore. His brother Merlin( yes Merlin) died about 8 years ago.
