News & Mews
My cats have lots to meow about. They loved the few days of hot weather: sunbathing, new smells, fresh air and gamboling in the garden. Merlin is meowing to go outside non-stop and resents his new restrictions on freedom. With his failing vision and coyote sightings, he is no longer free to roam at will. He knows how to open the door which needs to be secured now, and we've put up a baby gate to keep him on the porch. He's not amused at this new prison.

Bliss is watching a happy cat. Coco may not see well anymore but ...

Both Merlin and his sister Coco can't make sense of the fallen trees. I'm happy their tree climbing days are over. A younger cat would love this natural jungle gym though...

Outdoor boy Domino, loves to sit and meditate? in this area.  He doesn't climb on the trees but loves...

his vast selection of scratching posts.
I think Domino has 19 lives instead of 9, Last weekend he returned bloodied and beat up. Again. I will not post a photo of how awful he looked but trust me, it wasn't pretty. Some antibiotics and some Reiki healing (thanks Ingrid from Conscious Cat), he bounced back soaking up the warm sun.

Domino is still sleeping on his electric heating pad at night, but during the day he likes this black rug which absorbs tons of heat. Merlin also likes this spot and miraculously Domino doesn't mind. They have an odd arm's length friendship as seen here in a scene worthy of Romeo and Juliet. Love truly does conquer all. I'm grateful for the love and comfort my cats have shown me over the trying time of transition. Through good times and bad, cats are love purrsonified.

Link of the week
This old song from The Cure "Love Cats" captures my mood today. Enjoy spring, enjoy your cats!

That video had our Mom laughing out loud. That was so very funny. And the pictures of your cats were terrific too. But I sure can understand why you would be depressed about all those trees being blown down. It must drive you nuts. But you are good to work your way through it.
I lived in Charleston when Hurricane Hugo hit there and the devastation was so horrible. But that cat video is super. Need to watch that once a day. Have a great week end.

Love the photo of Coco soaking up spring - now that's kitty bliss! The balcony scene is hysterical.

Amber hopes that Domino is dreaming of her.
