In Jewish mysticism, it's said that God gathered all of the Divine light in the universe and contained it in a glass vessel to make space for Creation. The tremendous light could not be contained and remain separate, it expanded and shattered the glass, sending holy sparks of light in every direction. I believe trapped within every shard of glass, is Divine light waiting to be freed by acts of loving kindness. I was sad when the vintage glass table top shattered during the recent storm, but for me it's a messenger of transformation and good luck. Then again, I'm glass half full versus half empty kind of gal.

What a great way to look at your shattered glass table. I have learned to find positive in almost everything. Thanks for this way of looking at things.

Glass... yeah.. I like glass. Especially if it contains something that we are all so fond of calling "beer." Sometimes I get the impression that the divine light is like beer - you can't get it till you're in the right age and unless you have money to purchase it. lol
