How Did It Get Late So Soon?
Photo quote de jour

While I'm not OCD by the normal definition, I'm compulsive about photographing some flowers during all their stages of living. Mother nature and I don't always share the same schedule though. I'd hoped to shoot the tulips in their full glory but in my tardiness, they'd maxed out their petal power and fallen God knows where. There's always next year, but who knows where I'll be next year and anyway, why take the chance? I'm getting Carpe Diem tattooed on my forehead.

Beautiful words and flowers. And represents my philosophy.

I'm late as ever! Why did you select that particular tulip?

It's seems random but these two tulips looked so lovely all alone against a crumbling wall . Some squirrel must have buried the bulb and forgotten about it. There no other tulips nearby.

Hi
Just spent some delightful time wandering through your site and wanted to say 'Thankyou'.

Hi Layla, I assume this was taken in Westchester County, but I found it strangely reminiscent (in a fitting way) of mausoleum walls I have seen in Mexico where people leave flowers for their departed loved ones...

Anne Marie, that's so interesting about Mexico. This indeed was taken near my home.

Time and tulips wait for no man. Though its nice to see nature in all its phases, withering as well as blossoming.

Love the captions....the photos remind me of the circle of life which is why I love gardening.
This reminds me I need to take flower photos. I missed my red tulips this year as well.
