Mandala Mondays -- Eye of The Rainbow
Quote de jour
"Everything starts with a dot."
~Wasily Kandinsky
I'm seeing mandalas everywhere. The sacred symbolic circles are found in every flower and seed. Outside my herb garden today, I noticed this tiny red dot, no bigger than a pencil eraser. A wild strawberry, more beautiful than any flower, at least in the moment.

The spring flowers are dying and making way for proper summer specimens. Roses already! It's a relentless, dizzying rainbow of colors and varieties. Here is a random sampling taken in the past week. The last one, a pumpkin orange Asian lily is not in bloom yet, but will be starring in a series of photographs evolving from bud to bloom and beyond.
Almost forgot the mandala drawing. It wouldn't be Mandala Monday without one, right? The influences are clear to see. So much for trying to streamline my blog. Do less, post less, *groan*. Must find my inner editor. Can I help it if there is so much beauty I want to share? And to think, this is a drop out of a geyser. Catch it, there is beauty all around you. Take it into your heart and have a beautiful week.

It is so much fun to see flowers and all that color. I have some lilies getting ready to bloom. Pretty soon it will be too hot down here for anything to really bloom. You sure have some pretty flowers.
Have a great week.

I can understand that you feel that you neeed to streamline your inner editor, but I sure am glad you didn't do it today. These beautiful photos are balm for the soul.

So many beautiful images this Monday... I especially enjoyed the first shot; simply lovely! I stepped off of the subway today on my way to work and was showered with soft white rose petals as the breeze kicked up... little moments of splendor like that really make my day :o)
