Cat Saturday - Lazy Daze
Photo quote de jour

Merlin loves to sit in the wild part of the garden and watch the setting sun. Here he is posing like a lion in an Henri Rousseau painting. The summery weather with its warm breezes is dreamy for all cats especially outdoor kitties. I know it's safer to keep cats indoors, but when I see them so happy outside, it makes me happy. They are revelling in sunning, napping, faux hunting and lately, rolling in the dirt. A damp cloth and a good brushing works for Merlin, but feral Domino got so dirty I prayed for rain. He loves the rain and prayers answered, his coat is snowy again.
Domino and his beloved tree root. He's never been more relaxed. His only excitement this week was walking inside the house. He's growing more curious about indoor living and actually wandered into the livingroom. The TV was on and he stared wide-eyed at this
strange new world and those weird sounds coming from a box! He didn't stay long, but I can't help wonder if he has plans for moving in next winter.

For now he's the biggest character who roams the seven seas (at least in his imagination).

Our Mom would love to keep us all inside but she knows we love to be outside with all the goings on. We do have a sister that has been gone now for 7 days so she is frantic about that but she has been gone before.
Domino, you are looking good. We betcha, he will venture inside. Most of the feral cats here have come in eventually. In fact one of the feral kittens ventured all the way into my bedroom this morning. Give Domino some special food inside and I bet he will be back.
Have a great week end.

Marg, I'm sorry to hear about your missing kitty. Will stop by your blog and catch up.

I understand Domino perfectly. Summer has that effect on me, too. I find a cool spot in the shade and sprawl out. That's why I've always wanted to live in the tropics. Hot weather is the perfect excuse for doing nothing.

You and me both!

That's really interesting that Domino actually wandered into your living room. Maybe he's decided that his tough guy days are over.
Beautiful photo of Merlin at sunset.

Thanks, Ingrid, maybe he's smart enough to know he's not getting any younger and giving up some freedom is worth it.
