True Freedom
Photo quote de jour

We all know the term “thinking outside of the box” means using creativity or different perspective to problem solve. The box doesn’t actually exist. It’s an illusion of the limitations we place on ourselves. The planet that we live on is what I call the box of Earth and Sky. It too is as limited or limitless as our imagination allows. Knowing that we can cut the cords of our limitations and soar to new levels is freedom. Bars do not a prison make as Nelson Mandela once said. We all have the ability right this instant to choose to change what we think and that is oxygen for the soul.
There is a nature reserve near me on the grounds of an old estate and farm, which I regularly photograph. It’s my major muse in any season. I was thrilled the come across some new developments which inspired today’s post. The bars are from the former stables and the broken glass provided the surreal perspective. As a lover of all things Wabi Sabi, I met the bare bones of the new greenhouse with mixed feelings. What imbues this place with its soul is the crumbling paint and time worn imperfections. I hope the new renovations don't destroy the magic.
The X marks the spot where the photo above was taken.

Want more? I know I couldn't get enough of those mysterious windows.

Lovely images and words.

I had to do a double take. There was so much to see and think about what I was really seeing and reading about!

A mixture of the old and new is very pleasing to the eye and mind. A few rotted boards and broken windows here and there adds a bit of character.
