Anatomy of a Sidebar
Photo quote de jour

The punishing heat all summer has often left me less than fresh as a daisy. Do you ever wonder where these expressions come from? There is nothing fresh about the daisy above but it inspired me more than the pretty ones. I find beauty in unexpected places but most do not. So, dear reader I need your help. I'm making changes to this blog's sidebar (the long strip on the right side). If you haven't scolled down lately, take a peek. I proudly remain ad -free. There is a new countdown widget to the Boomer Muse Blogversary. Woohoo, two year fast approaching. There are the ever-growing archives, categories, recent comments, links to my writing and life coach websites, Facebook ,Twitter and other Share buttons. Please share. That's what I would like for my birthday. And now, I'm thinking it's time for a blog button. These little square buttons define a blog's brand and can be shared with other bloggers. I came with these designs yesterday. Which one do you like best?
A)
C) D)

I like C for a button. The picture of the daisy is pretty too. Have a terrific day.

Thanks, Marg and same to you!

Why does B have a smiley face? It's my choice. Expressions and old aphorisms need to be be revisited or refreshed. That's what you do with flair.

Carol, it was not intentional. I'm so not techie and it was an odd glitch.

I like D the best, but I would like to see the butterfly pic on it. Also, the letters could stand to be a tad darker or brighter.

Tinch, thanks. They looked so much better before being shrunk down. I'm going back to the drawing board.

C is my choice. I suppose because of the butterfly and I like the colors better than A

I like A and C from a design perspective, but I think D is probably the one you should use, because that's almost the same design as the one that appears in your blog header. I like the butterfly, but it doesn't appear anywhere else on your site. I think your blog button should use something from the header design (I vote for Merlin or Domino!), that way, when people click through on it, they'll feel right at home (that whole branding thing).

Ingrid, the continuity is key, thanks. I may change one of images on the header to reflect the change.

I like A)button best. You are so hopeful, you must include the butterfly.

Thanks, I'm leaning towards it.
