I'm on vacation and recuperating from a fabulous birthday week punctuated by food, food and more food. The best pizza on the eastern seaboard from Frank Pepe's, the best Turkish cuisine from AK Cafe in New Jersey, the best locavore love at jewel box-masquerading-as-restaurant, Juniper in Hastings-on- Hudson.  Plus, I stocked up on exotic  foods fom a Turkish market, admired a friends limes in their garden and don't get me going about chocolate. A tiny sliver of photo evidence is below. You'd think I'd offer you my weekly stack of photos of books, but I have only one, but this little paperback is a giant. Adam Langer's whip smart novel about a fake memoir set in Manhattan's literary scene charmed the pants the off me. adamlanger.com
