Work or Words?

Photo quote de jour

Unless of course you're a writer. This is another in my Finnish proverb series. The wheelbarrow is courtesy of my neighbor. The underlying sentiment for me and maybe you is: summer is over, life is unfolding in new and wonderful ways and goodness gracious, there is writing to be done. Get cracking!

yes when words are work, they are the measure by which we are evaluated.

    i love wheelbarrows, btw.

they remind me of the handcarts my ancestors had when they walked from missouri to utah.

Layla-do you know the William Carlos Williams poem "The Red Wheelbarrow." Seems quite appropriate to this post. Glad to say I did all my writing outdoors today, had perfect fall weather.

No, but I'm glad you mentioned it. Of course I had to go look it up. Here it is:
      so much depends
      upon
      a red wheel
      barrow
      glazed with rain
      water
      beside the white
      chickens.

Finnish proverbs.. I grew up in a small village in Upper Michigan. Yooper is the nickname for those from that that area. I grew up speaking Finnish, Croation and English. My dad was a milkman and as kids we had to be able to deliver the dairy products, take orders, and be able count in Finnish.

Thank you for bringing back some very nice memories.
