The Buzz of Hope
Photo quote de jour

But without bees there won't be any honey and without honey we lose most of the world's food supply. Bees seem to be buzzing as usual in my garden, but I go out of my way to attract them. The truth is; bees are endangered. September is Save the Honey Bee Month. For a buzz of hope, learn more about how important bees are, and what you can do to help at SaveHoneyBees.org

Great photo and quote combination as usual. And a little endorsement for our friend, the honeybee, as well.

I had a huge beehive in the wall of my house and I called Bee removers but they couldn't get them all out, so sadly they had to exterminate them...I am so scared about what's going to happen to the whole eco-system with the bees dying. I needed this quote and this photo today. Thank you Layla

Wendy, are you sure they weren't wasps?

Sadly true that bees are disappearing; must be their habitat we are destroying. They're essential to the ecosystem; beautiful and fragile as they are.

Yes, and pesticides. If everyone went organic and left their dandelions, it would make all the difference. Bees need dandelions; it's their first nectar of the season.
