Pumpkin Prison Plus...
Quote de jour
"The Pumpkin is always oranger on the other side of the patch."

My autumn barometer isn't about cooler days or falling leaves; the thing I watch for is the sedum. Two large sedum plants sit in my herb garden. Their fleshy green leaves begins to change to delicate pink flowers in early September, then deepen into a blush. By the time they reach their russet peak, it's Halloween.
This is the entrance to one of my favorite place for photo shoots by the Hudson River, but shush... don't tell anyone, it's private. It's not exactly Fort Knox. The gate is rarely up and this one would only keep an elephant out.

A treat to see a pumpkin ON the vine.

Wendy, you would love the view of the Hudson River with Manhattan sparkling way down in the distance. I do post photos from there every so often.

How true. the rhubarb always tasted sweeter coming from the neighbors patch. chuckle chuckle. It is also true that which you OWN will own you. A long time ago I learned to say a prayer blessing the person/s who took something from me. It is hard hard lesson to learn and sometimes harder to sincerely say the prayer. When said I realize that nothing can be taken from this earth to the next world except the loved shared and memories made.
Thank you for the picture and the reminder.

Frank, I like that idea of a prayer/blessing. My rationale for theft is the other person needed it more than I did. The level of attachment determines for ouch factor.

Sedum plants-hadn't heard of those before. Are they annuals? Sounds like a wonderful addition to the garden.

They are fast growing perennials. I'm sure they are available where you live.

How very true...that's why it's so silly to value material things.

The quote about scent is so true. The smell of Pert shampoo takes me back to a weekend of wild nookie 30 years ago!
