The Best Cure-All Since 1262

Photo quote de jour

Cold and flu season is here and I agree with St. Thomas Aquinas who advocated a bath, sleep and a glass of wine to cure all ills way back in the 13th century. The change of season plays havoc with our bodies, not to mention the stress of the nerve-fraying holiday season. To keep our immune systems strong, it's critical to get enough sleep. My favorite sedative and stressbuster is an aromatherapy bath loaded with tons of salts and oils. Cheers to coasting through the crazy season with body, mind and spirit in harmony.

Oh and it's Wordless Wednesday....oh well, I tried...Wordless Wednesday

I love the decoration of the room. It has a homey feel to the room. I see no candles. The picture with the painted toes make me just a little jealous.

This again is a very creative post. Thank you ... I am privileged to have seen it.

Thanks, it's decorated with antique maps; always good for daydreaming of far off lands. Candles are there but this was a rare afternoon bath.

scents, oh yes. Scents awaken the nostrils and the pores. Hot bath, wine, sleep. Yes. Yes. Until the last day or so, I have been very tired after the time change and the cold, dark days. Just takes more energy.

Exactly, they drain making us more susceptible to bugs. And scents work on every level to restore balance. As a writer, a long soak is great for plotting and working out dialogue.

Layla-add to Aquinas's wonderful list of stress-relievers "Not celebrating the holidays." It does wonders.

I've often thought how wonderful it would be to disappear from November through the new year on some remote tropical island.
