Pre-Conceived Notions
Photo quote de jour
Everytime I've indulged in pre-conceived notions lately, I been proven wrong. I think someone doesn't like something, but they do. I assume the worst, but it isn't. I think the new blog template sucks, but now I like it. It allows me to post a blog at times when I'm otherwise engaged. It creates the illusion of being in two places at once. Like this sculpture I found leaning against a concrete wall; it blurs the edges of 3D into 2D in a perfect metaphor: everything is illusion, until it isn't.

Layla, we like you every which way!

Yes, everything is a subjective reality. Pregnancy and death excepted.
Daughter coming in soon. Have a great Thanksgiving!

"Abandon all preconceptions, you who enter here!"
An old aphorism of mine, inspired by Dante's famous warning. It'd be the perfect epigraph for a book of aphorisms.

Yes, so very true. Our expectations and beliefs provide us with a view filled with our illusions. Thanks for bringing this tomind.
