Ding Dong, It's Your Cholesterol Calling

It's the feel-good, do-good season when we feel our most compassionate and yet, ironically we over-indulge in every food that's bad for our heart. For me, it was Ding Dongs and Twinkies recently in Arizona. My friend who lives in the U.K. craved them and we ate our combined weight in them. That is, when not eating other heart-unhealthy cuisine like this burger from Creekside in Sedona. I swear this is the best burger ever.


BUT If you are what you eat, and don't want to be called a Ding Dong or a Twinkie, be kind, be compassionate to your own dear heart this holiday season.

    Oh my that burger does look Yummy. That is one of my biggest downfalls. It really is hard to watch the diet over Christmas with all the cookies etc. So far I am being really good this year. And I only eat a burger like that when I go out and I don't go out very often. Have a wonderful holiday season and take care.

Yet, we should never eliminate that delight of a juicy burger and fries or a pizza and coke. Life is filled with choices. Thank goodness. That is the joy of living and loving.

      I'll second that. I believe in a mix of high/low nutrition. In this country, sadly the choices result in epidemic rates of obesity, heart disease and diabetes.
