The Zen of Light

Photo quote de jour

This is the season the light. Hanukkah candles flicker, fire places crackle, Christmas lights sparkle in the reflection of  windlows, slick streets and sparkly sequined or satin party dresses. Today is the shortest day of the year. In New York, we'll have only 9 hours, 15 minutes and 5 seconds, but the good news is as of tomorrow, the light will get brighter and the days longer day by glorious day.

I'd hoped to get up at 3AM last night to view to amber lunar eclipse but slept through it. I have to admit after doing an intense house clearing and ritual + (posted yesterday), I crashed in a state of happy exhaustion. I did photograph the moon earlier and it felt brighter than usual. The air felt electric and fraught with possibility. From the darkness, we have the opportunity the see our lives with fresh eyes and a new perspective. The energies of last night and today are pregnant with power, offering psychic insights to get unstuck from situations which no longer serve you. If you can, it would be ideal to meditate or rest near water or at least drink more water. Stay grounded and allow the new emotional perspective wrap you in a blanket of warmth.

A little Zen from my back yard.
