Stressed? Here's the Antidote: Breathing Space.
Photo quote de jour

Running around crazed, frazzled and pulled in all directions? The quick cure is simply taking the time for breathing space. I was running around on Saturday, stopped at a intersection. Turning right meant getting my next errand done. Turning left meant feeding my soul. I turned left and drove to the river's edge and got this shot. Was it worth wasting 20 minutes? Hell, yes.
Even after yoga class tonight, my friends scattered to the winds hellbent on crossing off the next item on their to-do list. Four of us met a quick drink a the Half Moon restaurant nearby (about two minutes from the photo above) We instantly melted: girltalk and laughter, a roaring wood burning fire and a cute bartender who took my carte blanche order for a hot toddy and delivered beyond the call of duty. We only had an hour before our next appointments but it felt timeless.
Time stretches and all is well when we give otherselves b r e a t h i n g s p a c e. . .

That is so very true. I tell myself every morning to do something fun during the day. Having a drink with the girls is a great thing to do, plus looking at the scenery is even better. Have a great holiday.

Marg, I think you take in the beauty and breathing space of your land every day.

Amen, Amen I recognize the truth. It is taking the different road rather than the rush rush road in life. Thank you for sharing this now in this period when people feel so much stress to get every thing done.

The different road can make all the difference. Ironically, everything that needed to get done, got done.

What a lovely spot, Layla! Maybe we'll meet there someday and share a breath of solitude together.

Lovely, but then it wouldn't be solitude.
