Crisis or Opportunity?

Photo quote de jour

Expect the unexpected is my motto. I'd planned to post a charming photo but seeing this less than charming mess today made me change my mind. Yup, some very fat mice had a powdered sugar orgy in my pantry. Where are the cats when you need them? Oh well, the kitchen needed a good clean anyway. In every crisis lies an opportunity.

When I first saw the photo, I thought maybe Odin was the culprit

Odin sneaks into the kitchen every chance he gets but it's still too dangerous. He had a close call with the stove.

oh dear. we have one mouse, but it lives under the stove most of the time and the cats keep watch.

Once, Cheddar had it in its mouth, but dropped it.

I hope your mice die of sugar poisoning and that next time your cats learn how to catch them.

I love the Chinese meanings. Truly inspiring as most Chinese words.

Cheddar has good taste. In this home of peace and love, war has formerly been declared on the rodents. I don't might one little mousekin but this is an army.

You have mice, I have my daughter. She is always presenting me with "opportunities." I wonder what it'll be today.

That is a riot. Don't feel alone though. I had mice in my house for years and none of the cats could catch them. They were living in the stove. One day, one of the cats caught two of them. It looks like those mice made themselves quite a nice door into that cabinet. Good luck.
