Vacation From The Mind
Photo quote de jour

Don't you wish sometimes you could turn down the volume of mind clutter? Thoughts whirl with information, imaginary dialogues, inner slave drivers and who knows what else. My kitten, Odin has the answer to inner peace, at least when he's napping. True enough, meditation and deep breathing help tamp down the restless mind, but today's suggestion is easier: observe something cuddly asleep, like a baby, a puppy or a cat. Watch how limp their limbs are, how their little chins wobble or bellies rise and fall in deep sleep and watch your mind take a holiday.

I've always felt that there's nothing more peaceful than watching a sleeping cat. Instant relaxation.
Is the bird in the photo a reflection of a window decal, or is it in Odin's dream?

I agree; watching cats is instant relaxation. The bird is strictly imaginary.

That is so true, watching a sleeping cat or dog sure can make you relax. It sure does me. Love the picture of Odin. Take care.

Layla-what a surprise to drop by tonight and see this startling photo along with my words. I would love to have a poster of this. It's truly magical. Thank Odin for being such a wonderful inspiration.

So happy you like it. Odin is a natural muse. I don't know if the resolution is high enough for poster size, but how about 11X14?
