The Secret of the Circle
Photo quote de jour

So, I had a small pile of strawberries which I didn't know what to do with. Chop them? Dip them in chocolate? Serve with cake or as is? While deciding, I instinctively did the most natural thing: I placed them in a circle. Circles are containers of secrets, of connection, community, safety and wholeness. They speak of eternal cycles, no less than the meaning of life. At the heart of every circle lies the answer to what you seek. Stop. Look. Listen. The more I looked, the more the strawberries looked heart-shaped and with Valentine's Day coming, well you know here this is going...

Another secret of sorts is that the circle quote is often and incorrectly attributed to Robert Frost. The original poem by Frost is:
We all sit in a circle and suppose,
But, the Secret sits in the center and knows.
So kick off your shoes, eat your strawberries any which way and dance your dance of life.

Ditto. Stay warm. More ice here. More snow for you.

Lovely Layla,
Your words have the power to comfort, as does the embrace and enclosure of the circle. Like the hug, it creates the sense of safety, a small haven of fleeting certainty, the karma of real loving. xxxxxxx

A hug is the loveliest of circles.

They do look like hearts, and so red! Almost seems a crime to eat them.

Almost, but guilty as charged.
