Snow Ball's Chance in Hell?

We're in the deep freeze again. The only ones enjoying the snow are the cats. And I'm reminded of an old Zen poem about its deeper meaning especially after just seeing the deeply nostalgic, at least for me (it's where I come from) and bittersweet marvel of a film Barney's Version. Life may be a snowball but I say it's also melting snow.

A white flower grows in the quietness

we have no snow, but it is cold. Beautiful Zen poem and great photo!

Beautiful post (and bonus: Odin in the snow photo!). We only got a dusting of snow, but even that made me grumpy and cranky, because I'm so ready for spring. I needed a different way of looking at snow. Thank you!

-8 this morning. The upside was a day of dazzling sunshine. Love that blue sky, no matter how cold it gets.
