Same Time?Same Place?
Photo quote de jour
"It takes all the running you can do just to keep in the same place."
~Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking-Glass, 1872

Think of all the places we pass every day. The same buildings, stores, homes, parks, points of reference. We pass them usually without thinking and probably without noticing any changes unless drastic like, "Oh, that restaurant went out of business." Every day on the beach at the same spot, I noticed how different the passing scene unfolded in its many moods and flavors. Every time I return home from a trip, I'm floored at how different my house looks as if seeing it for the first time, but after a day or so, it's as if I've never left. We're all visitors in time and space, just passing through. It's up to us to shake things up; to refresh our perceptions and see something new instead of running in place.

I love the idea of taking photos of the same place; I am doing that with the Duck Pond, one series each season, similar or the same angle of shot.
Beautiful photos.

One of the things I love about walking in the woods is how evident change is there. The same thing is true as you say even of the city landscape, but one tends not to notice or feel it as keenly.
