Now Is The Right Time For...
Photo quote de jour
This was the scene on Sunday at my house: languid and sweaty from barefoot gardening in the sudden heat, fingernails black, cats gamboling, birds happy, ducks visiting in the pond on their way back to Canada? An idyllic scene you'd think, right? Fragrant cherry blossoms and magnolias blooming but wait, I thought I could do better. I knew the blossoms at the nearby park must be in full bloom. My camera finger itched to click. The afternoon drifted from sun to cloud with threatening rainclouds in the distance. Timing is everything. If I raced, I could get there in time but, I felt rooted to the ground. I played with the cats and the raindrops fell.
Too Late. I let my plans evaporate in the storm. There were some nice pics from the garden. Be happy. Let it go. But I couldn't. In nature things are at their peak briefly. There is no pause button. Not for the blossoms or in life. I believe timing is everything, but also timing is always right even when it might appear inopportune. So, I adopted the Zen approach of what is is. And then the rain stopped, the sun came out and knowing nature wouldn't give me a second chance, I ran of the house to go you know where. Making dinner could but the cherry blossoms couldn't. Was it worth it? You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
And now is the right time for... you to...

Ahhh Cherry Blossums.. Pink snow when a gentle wind blows. Walking underneath the limbs of the trees bowed over with their heavy load of blossums. It is beauty unlimited. It is an occasion to delay anything to become part of the cherry blossum moment.
Thank you..

The pink snow moment is so brief, I hope to enjoy it later this week.

I am certain it was worth it. Our Cherry Blossoms just began the other day and our maple is partially unfurled.
Nothing says beauty like a cherry blossom tree. This is the first place I have lived that had these. Not Utah, or Montreal or Chicago. DC did, but I was there only for three months.
Such gorgeous photos; you have prompted me to take my camera to my two fave haunts. The Duck Pond, where I promised to include Spring and Fall in the seasonal pics and also the High School where I took great photos April 18 2010, in full bloom.
