Insights from Nature

Photo quote de jour

Continued from yesterday...

An hour later, slogging through wet grass, I was happy I'd changed into a pair of last summer's flipflops. I wondered what other animal might appear with a message. The purple blue lupins reminded that an earthworm's view can make you feel closer to the ground literally and figuratively. Leaves unfurled in front of my eyes...

Puddles became reflecting pools and the path led to the labyrinth.

Before entering a labyrinth, it's useful to pose a question, select a focus or theme. By the time you reach the center, chances are you'll have more clarity about a situation. Once you leave the labyrinth other insights may pop up from the subconscious or in dreams.

I hoped for clarity on a new project and insight about Domino, my ill feral cat. I didn't expect to see a animal while walking the labyrinth although in the past I've seen rabbits and crows. A power animal or shamanic animal guide will only appear when appropriate for you, and can't be forced to visit or share messages with you. I wrinkled my nose when I saw him This is my animal messenger? Smack in the middle of the labyrinth without any doubt was my messenger with a magnolia petal. How could I not have noticed it before? Remember I said yesterday how we miss out on beautiful details and insights
when we focus on the whole picture?

I thought it was dead but then it moved. I thought Domino was dead but I found him hiding in the bushes today. Earthworm brings gifts of transformations, earth healing and self-healing renewal and fertility. They make the earth the richer by working the soil. My message was about the new project: I needed to work the soil, get my hands dirty and learn how I can improve the creative areas of my life. I got that gardening, actually getting my hands dirty would help germinate ideas. Earthworms only come above ground when it rains. Water represents emotions like crying. I'd done plenty of that recently about Domino but then I realized I'd peeled off another layer of the onion skin. There was a deeper message which came the next day.

This is my story but if it resonates with you, there may be a message for you.

To be continued...

Oh good, glad you found Dom. I have been worried about him since yesterday. I need to get my hands dirty out in my yard too. Thanks for the update on Dom and so glad he is back.

He's gone again and not well. He's not been eating or taking meds for three days and is hiding in the bushes somewhere hobbling on three legs.
