Knowing Others is Wisdom, Knowing the Self is Enlightenment
Photo quote de jour

My computer guy is making progress but has to do his thing manually what ever that means. I'll be taking a blog break this Friday. The good news is nothing is lost and the really good news is I have a very special surprise post for Cat Saturday this week.
Trawling through photo quote de jours never posted, I came across this one of a Photoshopped moon in my garden. This Zen poem reveals how enlightenment is like the moon reflected in the water. A nun named Chiyono tried for years to realize enlightenment. One evening while filling her pail with water, she noticed the moon's reflection in the pail. She realized no matter how large the moon was, the moon was reflected in her tiny pail without getting wet or broken. Her pail broke, and Chiyono realized enlightenment.
Hopefully things will return to normal at this blog and my online life before the moon is as full as this. Enlightenment? I'll settle for a few crumbs of wisdom for now.

Layla, have a lovely blog holiday tomorrow! The moon is always full; we just can always see it.

Thanks, Layla, for correcting the typo. Can't, not can, is what I meant.
