Young Artists of Westchester County Bloom

Art week continues...

Quote de jour

“I would advise young artists . . . to paint as they can, as long as they can, without being afraid of painting badly . . . . If their painting doesn't improve by itself, it means that nothing can be done - and I wouldn't do anything."
                                                                                                                                                                        ~Claude Monet

It's always a joy to see the annual
Dobbs Ferry middle and high school art exhibit by students at the Dobbs Ferry library (aka my second living room). It reminds of how important artistic expression is. Most of these kids won't go on to art school as I did, but I hope they never lose the joy of creating. There are handful of talented students that I hope become professional artist or designers. The exhibit is on until May 20th. DobbsFerryLibrary.org

The originality and skill of all the artists is evident.
